Product Defect Guarantee
All shoes and boots purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship on uppers (stitching, eyelets, etc.) for as long as the original purchaser owns the shoes. Defective soles and other items are pro-rated based upon wear after a period of 6 months from date of purchase. Waterproof membranes such as Gore-tex, Ultradry, RWDry, etc. carry a warranty of 1 full year from date of purchase if and only if the boots are properly cared for with an approved care product that is silicone or beeswax based, which should be done on a monthly basis at minimum. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS reserves the right to make suggestions concerning fit and style pertaining to specific job applications. However, the customer is responsible for the style and/or size he chooses to purchase unless stated otherwise in writing on the receipt from the original date of purchase or on our Special Fit Guarantee form which is available upon request. Please e-mail us for any questions.
Exclusive remedy for breach of such warranties is repair by another party or replacement of the boots or shoes. If boots or shoes, purchased in our store, need repair or replacement due to defect in workmanship or materials, simply return the boots or shoes with proof of purchase to FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS.
REPAIR MAY TAKE THE PLACE OF REPLACEMENT ON ANY DEFECT AT ANY TIME AT THE DISCRETION OF FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS.
LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTY:
The warranty on all boots or shoes, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, is limited to the warranty set forth above, which includes all 1st quality products. Products that are considered to be Factory 2nds or blemished carry a repair only warranty by our store when possible. In rare cases, discontinued items carry no warranty. Sales receipts for such discontinued items will be stamped "All Sales Final, No Exchanges, No Returns, No Refunds."
The warranty set forth above does not apply to ordinary wear and tear, such as rollover on the heels due to a particular way a person walks. It also does not apply to damage resulting from abuse, negligence, improper repairs, inadequate fit, alterations, custom built boot modifications performed by FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS or another party and/or if the boots or shoes, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, are used other than in the manner intended. Safety-toe boots or shoes are prone to cut or tear at the tip if bumped on another object because there is no give or flexibility to the toe itself. The safety toe may show through within a matter of days if one bumps an object or drags the boot on an abrasive surface, which is considered to be an issue of wear, not a defect. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS stocks "Boot Bumpers" and "Shoe Goo" which add durability to the tips of safety toes. Due to friction, cloth linings in shoes or boots, especially pull-on type boots due tend to wear out at the base of the heel sooner than the rest of the boot. This is also an issue of wear, not a defect, and can be fixed at the discretion of FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS with a leather lining. There are no other warranties that extend beyond the description on the face hereof.
EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS HEREBY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Mountaineering, hiking, alpine skiing and other similar activities for which you may choose to use boots or shoes, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, may involve risk of serious injury. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential losses or damages or personal injury in connection with the use of boots or shoes purchased from our store for any reason, including custom orthopedic work of any kind. Some states do now allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
NOTE: THIS WARRANTY GOES UP AND BEYOND THE WARRANTY THAT RED WING SHOE COMPANY & OUR OTHER MANUFACTURERS OFFER. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY COPIES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
