Product Defect Guarantee
FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS guarantees all products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials. The length of time varies for each manufacturer (Most are 6 months or more from date of purchase and the warranty does not start over if a product is replaced). This warranty only applies if the boots are properly cared for with a reccommended care product and if the product is used in the manner in which it is intended. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS recommends treatment and conditioning to be done on a monthly or as needed (whichever comes first)basis. Petroleum-based, mink, and bee oil/pastes are not reccommended for dry tanned, glue-on soles, but work great on welted products. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS may make suggestions concerning product selection, fit and size, and/or care products however, the customer is ultimately responsible for the product(s) he/ she chooses to purchase. Exclusive remedy for breach of such warranties is repair or replacement of the product. If product, purchased in our store, is in need repair or replacement due to defect in workmanship or materials, simply return them with proof of purchase to FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS.
NOTE: Defective products will be pro-rated based upon time and wear at the discretions of FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS and/or each individual manufacturer. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS will take care of stitching, worn eyelets/ hooks, laces, treatment and conditioning for all products we sell FREE OF CHARGE for as long as the customer owns the product. (Note: mail order customers are responsible for all shipping costs).
LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTY:
The warranty on all products, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, is limited to the warranty set forth above, which includes all 1st quality products. In rare cases, clearance items carry no warranty & will be advertised as such and will be sold as "All Sales Final, No Exchanges, No Returns, No Refunds."
The warranty set forth above does not apply to ordinary wear and tear, such as rollover on the heels of boots due to a particular way a person walks. It also does not apply to damage resulting from abuse, negligence, improper repairs, alterations, custom built boot modifications performed by another party, inadequate fit and/or if the products, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, are used other than in the manner intended. Safety-toe boots or shoes are prone to cut or tear at the tip if bumped on another object because there is no give or flexibility to the toe itself. The safety-toe may show through immediately if one bumps an object or drags the boot on an abrasive surface, which is considered to be an issue of wear, not a defect. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS stocks “Boot Bumpers” and other products (we provide a free service using shoe-goo) that can be added to the tips of the boots which helps extend the life of the boot. Due to friction, linings in shoes or boots, especially pull-on type boots due tend to wear out at the base of the heel sooner than the rest of the boot. This tends to be an issue of wear, not a defect, and can possibly be fixed the customers cost at the discretion of FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS. There are no other warranties that extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Mountaineering, hiking, alpine skiing, parachuting and other similar activities for which you may choose to use boots or shoes, purchased from FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, may involve risk of serious injury. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential losses or damages or personal injury in connection with the use of boots or shoes purchased from our store for any reason, including custom orthopedic work of any kind. Some states do now allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS, HEREBY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, VERBAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
REPAIR MAY TAKE THE PLACE OF REPLACEMENT ON ANY DEFECT AT ANY TIME AT THE DISCRETION OF FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS OR EACH INDIVIDUAL MANUFACTURER. FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS ALSO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEND ANY DEFECTIVE ITEM TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR EVALUATION BEFORE ANY CREDIT WILL TAKE PLACE.
NOTE: THE WARRANTY LISTED ABOVE IS A GENERAL WARRANTY PROVIDED BY FOOTWEAR OUTFITTERS.
